How the Test to Release Scheme works
Please note you are still required to isolate for 10 days and take Covid19 PCR tests on day 2 and 8. Test to Release is an optional opt in scheme that will allow you to end your 10 day isolation period early when a negative result is received from your day 5 test. You will still need to take a PCR test on day 8.
How will the Test to Release system work?
24 hours before the end of your trip: Check whether the country you are returning from is on the government travel corridor list. This list changes frequently and without notice so make sure you check back regular. If your country is not on the corridor list you will need to book your Test to Release appointment at one of our clinics.
Day one: Arrive back in England from a quarantine country, you need to go straight to your self isolation destination and begin your isolation period in line with the UK government’s instructions.
Day five: You can now physically attend your Covid19 test appointment, your sample will be sent to our lab directly from our clinic so no need to worry about a courier or delivering the sample yourself.
Day seven to eight: Receive your results. If a negative result is returned, you are able to end your self-isolation period.
Attending one of our Clinics
When you arrive at the clinic on the day of your test you must bring along your passport and booking reference number. This will help the clinician locate your details.
Our friendly team will talk you through the test and carry this out for you. Our clinician will also provide you with your sample barcode number to allow you to enter this into your online results account. See our instructions guide for a step by step walk through of how to enter your sample barcode.
Your sample will then be sent to the laboratory directly from our clinic via our private courier for a speedy turnaround of results within 24-48 hours.
