Covid19 PCR testing requirements has now changed for International Arrivals. From Monday 15th February all International Arrivals are required to self isolate for 10 days on return to the UK and take a PCR test on day 2 and day 8.
If you do not travel in or through a country on the banned travel list in those 10 days you will need to quarantine in the place you’re staying and take a Covid19 PCR Test on day 2 and day 8. You must book these before you travel.
How Day 2 and 8 Testing for International Arrivals Works
Before arriving in England, if you’ve come from an amber list country you must take a coronavirus (COVID-19) test and have received a negative result in the 72 hours before you travel, and fill in a passenger locator form.
Before you arrive you must also book 2 tests, known as travel tests, for your arrival:
one must take place on day 2 after you arrive, or sooner (the day arrive is day 0)
another must take place on day 8 after you arrive, or later
Children aged under 5 do not have to take these tests.
After you arrive you’ll need to quarantine for 10 days at home or in the place you’re staying.
Ending your Quarantine Early (Opt in only)
You can take a test on your 5th full day of quarantine to see if you can stop quarantining early. This is known as the test to release scheme.
Screen4 already offer this service and further information can be found here https://screen4.org/covid19-test-to-release/
You still need to take a test on or before day 2 for variant surveillance and on or after day 8 to check you do not have Covid19.
Variant surveillance helps the government check if new types of Covid19 are coming into the country.
Booking your travel test package:
Everyone must book a travel test package. Children 5+ also require the two tests.
You must take a covid19 test on or before day 2 for variant surveillance and a test on day 8 to check that you do not have Covid19.
We offer two packages for the Day 2 and 8 Testing as below:

– Self-Test – you order your Day 2 and 8 test package online and carry out the tests in the comfort of your own home
*Both of the above options include x2 PCR tests, cost of shipping to you, analysis of your samples and any UK Government required Genetic Sequencing of Positive results.
