Covid-19 Services

Screen4 (Yorkshire) Ltd are at the forefront of Covid-19 Testing solutions. We are listed on the UK Government providers list offering PCR testing to customers across the UK.

Now that overseas travel has resumed, you may find that you require a PCR test and a laboratory certificate to prove that you are Covid19 free and fit to fly.

Countries across the Globe have enforced local immigration restrictions and they recommend that people travelling need to have a PCR test carried out 48, 72-96 hours prior to travelling! Screen4 can provide you with the testing and the certification for this.

This test can be completed as a ‘Self-Test’ or a ‘Clinician Performed Test’.

Advice for testing:

You will need to check the entry requirements for the country you are travelling to, you can do this here:

It is the consumers responsibility to ensure that you check the requirements for the country you are travelling to and to ensure that your sample is taken within the given time frame. Screen4 can not advise you of this and are not liable for any tests carried out outside of your travel requirement window.

If you are travelling abroad to a Green listed country it is a legal requirement for you to book and take a Covid-19 PCR test on Day 2 of your arrival into the UK.

Children aged 4 and under do not need to take this test.

You do not need to quarantine unless the test result is positive.

You must quarantine if NHS Test & Trace informs you that you travelled to England with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Find out more on the Green Listed Countries here

Day 2 tests for fully vaccinated passengers arriving from Amber listed countries will now be available from 4am Monday 19 July you will not need to quarantine on arrival in England or take a day 8 COVID-19 test, as long as you:

  • have been fully vaccinated under the UK vaccination programme
  • have not been in a red list country in the 10 days before you arrive in England

Fully vaccinated means that you have had your final dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before the date you arrive in England.

You will need to:

  • declare that you have been fully vaccinated on your passenger locator form
  • show proof of your vaccination status to your carrier (ferry, airline or train) when you travel

When you arrive in England, you must travel directly to the place you’re staying and not leave until 10 days have passed. The quarantine period starts the day you arrive in England and ends 10 days after the day you arrived. This period is necessary because it can take up to 10 days for coronavirus symptoms to appear.

If you’re travelling to England for less than 10 days, you will need to quarantine for the whole of your stay. You must travel directly to your place of quarantine when you arrive in England and directly from your place of quarantine to the port or airport when you leave. You should follow safer travel guidance and avoid public transport if possible. If you break the quarantine rules you may face a penalty of up to £10,000

Ending your Quarantine Early (Amber countries and Opt in only)

You can take a test on your 5th full day of quarantine to see if you can stop quarantining early. This is known as the test to release scheme.
Screen4 already offer this service and further information can be found here
You still need to take a test on or before day 2 for variant surveillance and on or after day 8 to check you do not have Covid19.

Variant surveillance helps the government check if new types of Covid19 are coming into the country.

Booking your travel test package:

Everyone must book a travel test package. Children 5+ also require the two tests.
You must take a covid19 test on or before day 2 for variant surveillance and a test on day 8 to check that you do not have Covid19.
We offer two packages for the Day 2 and 8 Testing as below:
– Clinician Performed test – you attend one of our clinics across the UK and have the tests carried out for you
– Self-Test – you order your Day 2 and 8 test package online and carry out the tests in the comfort of your own home
*Both of the above options include x2 PCR tests, cost of shipping to you, analysis of your samples and any UK Government required Genetic Sequencing of Positive results.

Please note you are still required to isolate for 10 days and take Covid19 PCR tests on day 2 and 8. Test to Release is an optional opt in scheme that will allow you to end your 10 day isolation period early when a negative result is received from your day 5 test. You will still need to take a PCR test on day 8.

How will the Test to Release system work?

24 hours before the end of your trip: Check whether the country you are returning from is on the government travel corridor list. This list changes frequently and without notice so make sure you check back regular. If your country is not on the corridor list you will need to book your clinician appointment.

Day one: Arrive back in England from a quarantine country, you need to go straight to your self isolation destination and begin your isolation period in line with the UK government’s instructions.

Day five: You can now physically attend the clinic to have your Covid19 test sample taken

Day seven to eight: Receive your results. If a negative result is returned, you are able to end your self-isolation period.
