Alcohol Testing 'Should Take Place At Work' 

Employers should be allowed to test their workers for alcohol misuse to identify "risky drinkers", a campaign group says. An organisation set up to tackle alcohol misuse has called for workplace testing to seek out problem drinkers. The Alcohol Heath Network wants employees to take a standardised test which identifies whether or not they are misusing alcohol. B.C. teen's drug overdose 'could have been prevented... 

A man who lived in the Vancouver building where Adriana Falcon, 15, died of a drug overdose in September said he sounded the alarm about drug dealing there months ago. The White Rock teenager was found dead in a unit of the West End rooming-house, where she had been living. Toxicology reports revealed that a lethal mix of methamphetamine and heroin was the cause of her death. Pilot arrested suspected of being drunk in charge of his plane! 

A pilot will appear in court tomorrow accused of being drunk in charge of his passenger jet. Police are believed to have boarded the 54-year-old captain’s airliner and approached him in the cockpit as he carried out pre-flight checks at Leeds Bradford Airport. Officers asked Irfan Faiz, from Pakistan, to take a breath test shortly after 10pm last night. He was then arrested and today charged after questioning. Hundreds of new 'legal high' designer drugs flooding into Europe, warns report 

More than 650 new designer drugs have flooded into Europe in the past decade, according a major project to monitor the emergence of new substances. Experts at the Recreational Drugs European Network has identified a wide range of new so called "legal highs" that have been manufactured to mimic illegal drugs.
